The Nao Santa Maria will make its first visit to Douglas as part of its 2026 European tour, giving visitors the chance to explore a full-size replica of one of the best-known ships from the age of European exploration.
Berthed at Douglas Marina, the floating museum allows visitors to walk through the ship’s decks, cabins and hold while learning about historic voyages and the conditions experienced by sailors more than 500 years ago. The vessel is operated by the Nao Victoria Foundation, a Spanish organisation that uses replica tall ships to share maritime history with the public.
The ship will be open daily from 10am to 8pm between 2 and 6 September. Community groups and schools can also arrange organised visits. Advance online booking is encouraged, as online ticket sales will take priority and tickets may not be available at the quayside if advance allocations sell out.
