Jurby sits on the island’s northwest plain, bordered by flat farmland, sea views, and an airfield that played a key role during World War II. Today, Jurby is a mix of rural landscape and light industrial use, including a motor circuit, recycling centre, and prison complex.
The parish is known for the Jurby Transport Museum and hosts a number of TT-related events at the airfield. While not traditionally tourist-focused, it appeals to aviation and motorsport enthusiasts, as well as photographers capturing its open horizon and rugged charm.
Jurby remains one of the more unique parishes, where heritage, utility, and landscape intersect.
