JAZZ X POETRY returns to Laxey Working Men's Institute for its second edition, bringing together local poets and the Penny Orchestra for an evening of live creative performance. Spoken-word readings are accompanied by improvised jazz, creating a musical backdrop that responds to the poetry.
Organised by Saoirse Coyle-Carroll, the event offers audiences the chance to hear original poetry alongside live musicians. Whether attending for the spoken word or the jazz, visitors can experience both art forms together in a shared performance setting.
Audience tickets cost £11.55, while poets performing without a recording can participate free of charge. Performers can also choose to receive an audio clip of their own performance for £6.13. Recordings are private, with access limited to the performer and XPoetry, which deletes its copies within 24 hours.
