The second highest peak on the island, North Barrule is arguably the most striking, with its sharp, angular ridge dominating the northern skyline. The walk to the summit is a strenuous undertaking, rewarding hikers with unparalleled views over Ramsey, the northern plains, and across the sea to Scotland and the Lake District. The ridge walk requires good fitness and sure footing but offers a true mountain atmosphere distinct from the softer southern hills.
