A picturesque "living museum" dedicated to the preservation of the traditional Manx crofting way of life.
Set on an exposed plateau overlooking the Calf of Man, Cregneash is a collection of white-washed, thatched cottages where visitors can see farming practices, skills, and crafts from the 19th century. The village is famous for its four-horned Loaghtan sheep and was a primary filming location for the movie Waking Ned.
While the village streets are public, entry to the historic cottages is ticketed (Manx National Heritage). It is also a designated Dark Sky Discovery Site, offering some of the clearest night skies in Europe.
