The largest body of water on the Isle of Man, sitting high in the uplands under the shadow of Snaefell.
The drive up the Sulby Glen to reach the dam is spectacular in itself. Once there, you can walk across the dam wall or follow the trails along the western bank. It feels remote and wild, offering a stark contrast to the manicured parks of the towns.
