Trailhead: Douglas Head (Pigeon Stream Car Park), Braddan | Directions
Description

Distance: 6 miles
Grade: Easy/ Leisurely
Type: Walking and Cycling

Once a Victorian electric railway and later a scenic coastal road, Marine Drive is now closed to cars (due to cliff erosion), creating the island's most spectacular paved walking route.

Hugging the cliff edge south of Douglas, it offers uninterrupted panoramic views across the Irish Sea. It is a prime location for spotting marine life; dolphins, seals, and basking sharks are frequently seen from the high vantage points.

The smooth tarmac surface makes it perfect for road cyclists, runners, and families.
