Bordering Douglas to the west and northwest, Braddan is a suburban parish with a growing residential and commercial footprint. It includes the busy district of Union Mills and stretches north to include parts of the Baldwin Valley. Its proximity to the capital makes it a strategic hub for services, healthcare, and business.
Braddan is also home to the island’s main hospital (Noble’s) and crematorium, as well as the headquarters of several local businesses. The parish church, Old Kirk Braddan, is known for its riverside setting and historic Manx crosses. While not a visitor destination per se, Braddan plays an essential role in the daily life of the island.
For cyclists and walkers, the Heritage Trail runs through the parish, connecting Peel and Douglas via a former railway line.
