Description

This is not a dusty museum of glass cabinets; the House of Manannan is an award-winning, immersive heritage centre that guides you through the island’s Celtic, Viking, and maritime history.

Using theatrical sets, audio storytelling, and even scents, the museum recreates a Viking longhouse, a Celtic roundhouse, and the bustling 19th-century Peel quayside. The centrepiece is Odin’s Raven, a full-scale replica Viking longship that was sailed from Norway to the Isle of Man.

It is the best place on the island to understand the "Story of Mann" and is particularly engaging for families and children.
